The payment deadline is June 30. Late fees are added on Aug. 1. Please renew online at njcpa.org/renew or by check with the invoice sent to you.

NJCPA dues are not deductible as a charitable contribution but may be deductible as a business expense. NJCPA estimates that 10% of your dues are not deductible because of the NJCPA lobbying activities on behalf of its members.

Annual membership dues also include $9 for a one-year subscription to New Jersey CPA magazine, which cannot be deducted from your dues.

The unemployed category of membership includes members who are home raising children, taking care of parents, in between positions, on long-term disability or in school full time.

The retired category of membership includes members who have reached retirement age as designated by the Social Security Administration and are working no more than 20 hours per week.

No, NJCPA membership is non-transferable and remains with the individual for the duration of the membership year.

All members enrolled in auto-renewal will receive multiple notices prior to the June 1 processing of dues payments each year, and, as a result, no refunds will be issued after the June 1 processing date. Members can opt to discontinue their enrollment in auto-renewal, which takes effect with the following fiscal year enrollment period. 

Any member who has voluntarily signed up for auto-renewal, or who has been automatically assigned (with proper notification) auto-renewal status upon being granted membership, will have their annual membership dues charged on or about June 1 of each calendar year at the applicable then-current membership rate. 

No refunds will be issued to any member who is not signed up for annual dues auto-renewal and makes a dues payment upon notice that their membership is due for renewal.

In cases where a member’s dues have mistakenly been paid twice for a particular fiscal year, the member can have such duplicate payment applied to the next fiscal year at the current-year rate or request a full refund without any fees applied.
