Richard Cohen, CPA

Richard Cohen, CPA is a partner in EisnerAmper’s Not-for-Profit Services Group. With over 35 years of experience, he works extensively with independent private schools, social service and health and welfare organizations, private schools for the disabled, foundations, and cultural and community organizations and associations. Mr. Cohen assists these clients with strategic planning, financial management and governmental regulation compliance. He has strong expertise in the specialized issues of not-for-profit organizations, including year-end considerations, new FASB technical pronouncements and Single Audit Act amendments, specialized tax and accounting procedures, reviews of tax-exempt status and unrelated business income issues. Mr. Cohen received his B.S. from Rider University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA), Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and Center for Non-Profits. He has spoken before many professional, civic and not-for-profit groups on finance related topics and business planning.

Amy E. MacFadyen, CPA, director of EisnerAmper’s Not-for-Profit Services Group and Audit Department, has been a member of the NJCPA since 2011. She has served on numerous NJCPA interest groups and committees, such as the Nonprofit Interest Group, the Joint Chapter & Interest Group Leaders and the Chapter Operations Committee. As Eisner, she is responsible for the planning, supervision and execution of financial statements and other audit-related services. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and the Association for Corporate Growth of New Jersey. She earned her BS degree at the University of Rhode Island.

Jennifer Meyer-Mahoney, Esq. is the founding partner in the law offices of Jennifer Meyer-Mahoney in Millstone Township, New Jersey. She focuses her practice on labor and employment law, providing guidance and solutions for small and medium size businesses that need assistance with labor and employment concerns and representing public sector clients in civil service, ethics and Public Employment Relations Commission matters and contract negotiations. Ms. Meyer-Mahoney has been advising managers on labor and employment law issues since 1993. She started her career with the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General as a Deputy Attorney General assigned to assist senior attorneys in complex litigation including employment discrimination cases and investigations by the United States Department of Justice. She then took over her own litigation case load focusing on labor and employment cases. After seven years as a Deputy Attorney General she took an in-house position with the New Jersey Department of Corrections managing employment litigation, negotiating with the unions and advising managers on difficult employment matters. She then moved to the New Jersey State Parole Board where she was responsible for labor relations, employee relations, human resources, ethics, the reasonable accommodation committee, managing employment litigation, and coordinating the response to whistle blowers. A graduate of Wellesley College and Rutgers School of Law – Camden, she is admitted to the Bar in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Monmouth Bar Association, the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners, the Jersey Shore Association for Human Resources, the Navesink Business Group, Business Over Breakfast of Central Jersey and the 815 Group.
