The Internal Revenue Service has announced additional details about the closures planned for May 24, June 14, July 5, July 22 and Aug. 30, 2013.

A key deadline of May 15 is facing many tax-exempt organizations that are required by law to file annual reports with the Internal Revenue Service. Organizations will see their federal tax exemptions automatically revoked if they have not filed reports for three consecutive years.

For more than five decades, the New Jersey Society of CPAs has supported the study of accounting in high school and college. The NJSCPA Scholarship Fund has become the largest professional scholarship program in the state. This year, it will award more than $460,000 in scholarships.
