OVERVIEW

Christopher DeMatteis will discuss the role of the Mortgage Loan Originator, Underwriter and CPA in the residential mortgage qualification and approval process. As well as, discuss lending regulations, application of Schedule Analysis Method (SAM) for self-employed individuals and issues that arise for self-employed individuals and remedies that avoid the use of comfort letters. Mr. DeMatteis will also discuss current and future developments in loan products and the qualification process.

A graduate of Rutgers University, Mr. DeMatteis has an extensive background in financial sales and marketing and has been successful in the mortgage industry since 2005.In addition to holding a mortgage originator license in NJ, NY and CA, Chris is also licensed as a Real Estate Continuing Education Provider in NJ, DE and PA. He is the author of the Continuing Education course for real estate agents entitled “Mortgage Finance 101, Making Heads and Tails of the Mortgage Industry.” Mr. DeMatteis is well known in the industry for taking an educational approach to lending and is a valuable source of information on programs, underwriting guidelines and regulations impacting the industry.
