OVERVIEW

Understand the valuation process, its applicability to certain types of engagements, and the various methods of valuation. Be better prepared to address the many questions which arise during a valuation study.

HIGHLIGHTS

Hear an overview of specialty services provided by CPAs in the disciplines of Business Valuation, Litigation Support and Forensic Accounting. Lloyd George is the founder of a boutique CPA firm specializing in business valuation and forensic accounting. Since 2001, he has conducted a broad range of valuation and litigation support assignments, following over 30 years combined military, “Big-8” and private industry experience. Experience includes military, manufacturing, global pharma, global financial services, federal & state government, health care and tax exempt organizations. He is a combat veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, a former auditor and consultant with Ernst & Young and a former Deputy Commissioner of Revenue for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

He holds a BS (Engineering) from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and a MBA (Management) from Boston University. Fellow AICPA, NJCPA and National Association of Business Valuators & Analysts; Past President, Mercer Chapter, NJCPA; former NJCPA Trustee/Secretary/Leader of the Business Valuation & Litigation Services Interest Group/chair of multiple Trustee committees, selected to “50 Over 50” and the inaugural “The CPA List”. Co-producer of several ADR Days for the NJ Institute of CLE and the Annual Business Valuation/Litigation Services Conference for the NJCPA. Board member New Jersey Entrepreneurial Network and member Einstein’s Alley Collaborative.

Leslie M. Solomon, CPA/ABV,ASA

Leslie M. Solomon, CPA/ABV/CFF, ASA, is a shareholder in Rotenberg Meril Solomon Bertiger & Guttilla, P.C., where he is responsible for the firm's business valuation and litigation support services. He handles all matters of accounting, auditing and taxes, with special emphasis in business valuation and the accounting, auditing and income tax consequences of forensic matters. Mr. Solomon has been providing expert testimony and litigation consulting services to trial attorneys and their clients in New York and New Jersey for more than 25 years. He oversees all of the firm's business valuation and forensic accounting engagements, along with the dedicated professionals in his group. Mr. Solomon has been qualified as an expert in courts in New Jersey and New York and is a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) and its Litigation Support Services Committee, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the American Society of Appraisers, the Institute of Business Appraisers, and the Financial Consulting Group. Additionally, he has served as chairman of the NJCPA Valuation/Litigation Support Services Interest Group. Mr. Solomon received a bachelor's in accounting from the University of Connecticut.
