The NJCPA is the only professional organization for New Jersey CPAs providing community, support and professional development to aid them in maintaining their CPA license and staying current on issues impacting New Jersey and the accounting profession.

Categories of Membership

  • CPA Membership: Open to anyone holding a CPA license from any state. (Previously known as Fellow Membership)
  • Affiliate Membership: Open to any who meets one of the following qualifications:
    • Completed the academic requirements to become a CPA and pursuing further requirements necessary to become a CPA
    • Working in an accounting or finance position under the supervision of a CPA
    • A chartered accountant or its equivalent in any country other than the United States
    • An instructor of accountancy in a school of collegiate standing
    • A non-CPA owner, partner, shareholder or principal of a firm licensed by the New Jersey State Board of Accountancy
  • Student Membership: Open to anyone who is an undergraduate or graduate student who has an interest in accounting, finance, business or information systems.

Annual Dues

Membership in the New Jersey Society of CPAs is renewable annually on June 1. Your first-year dues are prorated based on the date of your membership application, as indicated in the chart below.

1 Members who join between March 1 and May 31 will renew the following June 1. 
2 Student Members do not pay a membership fee. Upon graduation, they will be elevated to Affiliate Member level and will receive the first year of Affiliate membership for free.
